Cal & Priscilla Rice Adopted Solar Orphan

The Rice's project involved replacing seven collectors that had frozen and burst. The system sensor and controller failed causing the drainback system to run at night and freeze. The fill valve was also leaking causing the system to overfill. Another major issue was that the structure that the panela were mounted on had settled causing a "trap" in the collector array. The multiple reasons for failure were fixed with a new sensor and controller, new ball valve on the fill and a steel super structure that eliminated the "trap". The Rice's had difficulty locating a contractor but Resolution Energy "adopted" this solar orphan and looks forward to servicing the system for years to come.
